蛇尾川（さびがわ）は普段は水無川と言われるほど、表面上砂利で地中を水が流れる河です。
台風や雷、大雨の後に見られる増水した時の自然が激的に姿を変えた時の風景です。
The ever-changing face of nature
Under normal conditions, the Sabigawa River is often described as a "dry riverbed" (or *mizunashi-gawa*), as the water flows underground beneath a surface of gravel.
This scene captures the dramatic transformation of the landscape when the river swells following typhoons, thunderstorms, or heavy rainfall.
