Etoupe Abstracts — Paintings born at midnight.
I am a cardiologist and researcher based in Tokyo, dedicated to the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Each night, after the weight of the day has settled, I open a canvas — not as a physician, but simply as myself.
I dissolve the day's emotions into color. Layer by layer, stroke by stroke, something quiet takes shape. These works are the residue of that stillness.
Etoupe — the muted, warm grey of understated elegance — is the color that guides my palette and names this practice. Not loud, not invisible. Just present.
